While only moments away from all the amenities of Qualicum Beach, Seaview Beach Resort's eight self-contained cottages can be found nestled peacefully between a wild river estuary,and a natural cobbled beach. From here, visitors enjoy an unrivalled panoramic view of the Strait of Georgia, Gulf islands, and snowy Coastal Mountains beyond.
A Variety of activities and attractions await visitors to this area, from kayaking, rock climbing, horse back riding and water slides, to garden tours and world-class golf.
Feeling adventurous? How about the magical underground world of Horn Lake Caves Provincial Park! You can explore the caves on your own, or join a tour and go with a guide. A nearby sentinel, Mount Arrowsmith offers access to superb alpine hiking and mountain climbing, mountain biking, off-road four-wheeling, and seasonal snowmobiling.
More casual adventures might prefer to explore the wilderness at any of our local parks. Only a few minutes away is "Cathedral Grove", where an interpretive trail takes us back in time, deeply into the fragrant, green stillness of an ancient, temperate rainforest. Parks at little Qualicum Falls and Englishman River Falls are sure to impress, as well.
For relaxed amusement,it's just a short drive to Coombs, where you'll find fresh local produce, unique handcrafted breads and pastries,gifts and house wares, and of course, the world famous "Goats on the Roof". Take time to wander through the folksy antique stores and boardwalk shops that showcase work by the many talented artists and craftpeople who call this region home.
Here back at the resort, many of our guests spend their time just relaxing on the beach. No matter the season, many of our guest just want to tuck themselves up agianst a driftwood log with a good book, beach comb for ocean treasures or simply take in Seaview Beach Resort's backyard wilderness.The estuary is home for song bird, bald eagles, blue herons, and white-tail deer. It's common to hear sea lions just off shore. Each spring, an unparalledled wildlife-viewing opportunity presents itself, as tens of thousands of Brandt Geese migrate north literally past our door.
In Summer, guest take advantage of the great outdoor beach activites. The warmest ocean temperatures in Canada guarantee that sunbathing, swimming, windsurfing, and boating are always popular pastimes. When permitted, clam digging, oyster picking or a fresh caught wild pink salmon makes for a tasty late evening BBQ. Towards the end of the day spectacular sunsets tend to bring everyone together around the commmunal fire-pit, for shared roasted marshmallows and stories..... as well as some amazing star gazing.... with friends old and new!
